Category: Maternal Neonatal Nursing Nevus flammeus (port-wine stain) is a permanent, flat, pink to dark reddish-purple mark that varies in size and location. The lesion may become nodular as the child gets older. Unlike hemangiomas, they generally do not fade over time.
